Capacity without the ramp-up tax
Augmented team deployment for iGaming
Hiring a senior iGaming engineer takes months and the good ones are rarely on the market. Argon embeds named engineers, testers, analysts and architects directly into your teams, under your technical direction, with our review standards behind them. They already know what a wallet, a bonus engine and a game round are, so the first sprint is delivery rather than education.
01
Where teams get stuck
- The roadmap needs people you cannot hire fast enough
- A three-month hiring cycle plus a three-month ramp-up means a commitment made in January lands in July, if the offer is accepted.
- Generic contractors need teaching first
- A capable engineer from outside the category spends the first two months learning the domain, and you pay for that at senior rates.
- Outsourcing left you with code nobody owns
- Work delivered over the wall, no knowledge transfer, no conventions followed, and a maintenance burden that outlived the contract.
iGaming consideration
Wallet, ledger, bonus engine, game round, RTP, KYC, AML, chargeback, responsible gaming. No glossary sprint, no explaining why idempotency matters on a payment callback.

What we do
- Roles we deploy
- Backend and frontend engineers, mobile engineers, DevOps and SRE, QA and automation, business analysts, product designers, architects and delivery leads.
- Integrated working model
- Our people work in your repositories, your board, your standups and your review process, reporting to your technical leadership. Not a parallel team with a separate backlog.
- Engineering standards behind every person
- Each engineer has our architects and principals available for review and escalation. You get one person on the team and a group standing behind them.
- Fast, honest ramp-up
- A written onboarding plan with a defined first contribution. Domain knowledge is already there, so the ramp is about your codebase and conventions only.
- Scale up and down
- Add capacity for a launch, reduce after it. Rolling engagements with a clear notice period, without a redundancy process.
- Security and access discipline
- Background-checked people, named accounts, least-privilege access, your security policies, and a documented offboarding that actually revokes everything.
- Knowledge stays with you
- Documentation as a deliverable, pairing with your permanent engineers, and no single-person dependency created on our side by design.
03
What you receive
- Named individuals with real CVs, interviewed and approved by you before they start
- A written working agreement: reporting line, cadence, escalation path, definition of done
- Onboarding plan with a defined first contribution inside the first two weeks
- Documentation and pairing built into the engagement, not offered at the end
- Monthly delivery and quality reporting against what was agreed
- Clean offboarding: handover notes, access revocation, no orphaned knowledge

How the work runs
01
Define the gap
Skills, seniority, duration and what success looks like in the first ninety days. Sometimes the honest answer is that you need two people rather than four.
02
Match and interview
We propose named candidates with real experience in this category. You interview them. You decline the ones who are not right.
03
Onboard
Access, context, conventions and a first ticket in week one. A first merged contribution inside two weeks is the standard we hold ourselves to.
04
Embed
Working in your process, under your direction, with our internal review and escalation available throughout.
05
Review
Monthly, against delivery and quality, with the option to change the shape of the team or exit with notice.
06
Transition
Whether the engagement ends or converts to permanent, documented handover and no dependency left behind.

Why iGaming differs
- Domain fluency is the whole point
- Wallet, ledger, bonus engine, game round, RTP, KYC, AML, chargeback, responsible gaming. No glossary sprint, no explaining why idempotency matters on a payment callback.
- Compliance instincts come as standard
- Engineers who have worked under licence conditions know not to log a full document number, not to widen a data export, and to ask which jurisdiction before changing a gate.
- Operational empathy
- People who have been on call for a live casino build differently. They instrument, they write the runbook, and they think about the agent who will handle the ticket at midnight.

Tools and methods
- Common engagements
- Node.js and TypeScript services · React and Next.js frontends · React Native apps · AWS and Kubernetes platform work · Playwright automation
- Ways of working
- Your board · your repositories · your review process · your security policy
- Behind each person
- Architecture review · security review · QA standards · escalation to principals
- Typical team
- One to eight people, scaled as the roadmap requires

Questions
Is this the same as outsourcing?
No. Outsourcing moves a scope to another company. This moves capability into your team, under your technical direction, in your codebase, following your conventions. The work stays yours throughout.
Can we interview and reject candidates?
Yes, always, and we would be concerned by a supplier who resisted that. You are going to work with these people daily.
What if someone is not working out?
Tell us early. We replace them, at our cost of transition, and we would rather hear it in week three than at a quarterly review.
Can an engineer convert to a permanent hire?
Yes, under agreed conversion terms set out in the contract up front. We would rather keep a long-term client than block a good outcome for both sides.
What time zones and languages do you work in?
Our people work European hours with overlap into US mornings, in English, and are used to distributed teams. Where a role genuinely needs US or Asia-Pacific hours we will say so before we propose anyone.

Tell us what you are building, or what you are about to buy.
One working day to a reply, from an engineer rather than an account manager. Under NDA as standard, before anything is shared.
